Heirloom 1940s White Madeira Embroidered Dress & Slip HC0325$55.00 Size: sold out Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Dresses This beautiful white cotton batiste dress was hand made in Madeira, Portugal, probably in the 1940s. It features tiny pintucking both front and back and incredible embroidery on the bodice and above the scalloped hem. The neckline is finished with scalloped embroidery and delicate floral detailing. Gusseted pleats under the arms add fullness to the dress which closes in the back with two tiny buttons. The short puffed sleeves are finished with scalloped cuffs. Included is a beautifully embroidered slip with scalloped hem. The slip closes on the shoulder with a tiny button. A truly beautiful example of Madeira's finest embroidery! Vintage/Heirloom
