Heirloom White Cotton Romper with Blue Embroidered Collar and Openwork
Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Rompers
This sweet little white cotton romper was handmade in the 1930s in the Philippines. It features a pintucked chest with rows of openwork and blue French knots centered with an embroidered blue and white design. The blue notched collar has blue and white embroidery and tiny pintucks. The sleeves are finished with blue notched turn-back cuffs. This little suit has a back buttoned closure with small shell buttons in the crotch, as was customary in 1930s baby clothing. The white belt has two shell buttons.
