NEW Linen Keepsake Hanky Bonnet in White or Ivory with Embroidered Cross
Baby Bonnets: Keepsake Bonnets: Hanky Bonnets
This beautiful linen bonnet is made from a handkerchief trimmed with hemstitching. Available in white (pictured left) or ivory (pictured below), the bonnet is beautifully embroidered with an openwork cross. The sides are adorned with tiny white satin bows and the bonnet ties under the chin with white satin ribbons. The tradition is for a baby to wear this as a coming home cap or a christening cap. Saved as an heirloom, a few stitches are clipped so it reverts to a beautiful linen hanky to be carried by a bride on her wedding day. A poem explaining this lovely tradition is included.
The perfect christening bonnet for your baby.
