Heirloom 1940s White Madeira Dress with Pintucks and Embroidery HC0425$50.00 Size: sold out Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Dresses This beautiful white cotton batiste dress was hand made in Madeira, Portugal in the 1940s. It features tiny pintucking both front and back and incredible embroidery on the bodice and above the scalloped hem. The neckline is finished with scalloped embroidery and delicate floral detailing. Gusseted pleats under the arms add fullness to the dress which closes in the back with two tiny bone buttons. The short puffed sleeves are finished with scalloped cuffs. This elegant little dress is a truly beautiful example of Madeira's finest embroidery! What a perfect dress for a wedding, christening, or portrait! Vintage/Heirloom
