Heirloom 1940s White Madeira Dress with Pale Blue Embroidery HC0457$50.00 Size: sold out Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Dresses This beautiful white cotton batiste dress was hand made in Madeira, Portugal in the 1940s. It features tiny horizontal pintucking on the front yoke, which is joined to the pintucked skirt with a double row of hemstitching. Pale blue floral embroidery adorns the yoke, collar, sleeve cuffs, and the front of the dress. The collar and sleeves are finished with pale blue scalloped embroidery. A 2" hem and back closure with two tiny buttons complete this lovely little dress. This elegant little dress is a truly beautiful example of Madeira's finest embroidery!
