Heirloom Baby Clothes: Heirloom Baby Dresses
This lovely white cotton lawn dress was hand made in Madeira, Portugal in the 1930s. It features pintucking on the front and back centered with fagotting and tiny embroidered flowers. Above the 3" reverse scalloped hem, which is edged with fagotting and french knots, is a lovely spray of floral embroidery. The embroidered collar and short puffed sleeve cuffs are finished with scalloped embroidery. The dress closes in the back with two small shell buttons.
