 
Heirloom 1940s Exquisitely Embroidered Blue Dress with Matching Slip

Vintage Baby Clothes: Vintage Baby Dresses
This beautiful little baby blue cotton batiste dress and matching slip were handmade by Cherubs in the Philippines in the 1940s. Never worn, the set was removed from its original packaging and carefully laundered so that it arrives pristine and ready to for a very special baby to wear. It is beautifully detailed with pintucks and delicate white embroidery.
The short puffed sleeves are finished with turned back cuffs embroidered with French knots and edged with white scalloped embroidery. The little Peter Pan collar is lavishly embroidered with white floral sprays, scallops, and French knots and edged with white scalloped embroidery. The dress is finished with a deep 3??? reverse scalloped hem and closes in the back with three tiny buttons.
The matching little baby blue slip has embroidered flowers at the hem and scalloped embroidery at the neckline, armholes, and hem. It closes on one shoulder with two tiny buttons.
