This delicate little yellow hand made bishop gown is made of such fine lawn it has a gossamer appearance. From the late 1920s, it features rows of hand smocking at the neckline and short sleeves finished in lovely lace. There are gusseted pleats under the arms for added fullness. The back closes with three tiny buttons and the dress is finished with a deep 3 hem.
