This darling blue cotton batiste dress was hand made in the Eastern Isles in the 1940s. It features tiny pintucking both front and back with delicate white floral appliques and openwork embroidery. The collar has appliqued flowers, white French knots, and scalloped embroidered trim, which is repeated on the short puffed sleeve cuffs. The dress closes in the back with two small buttons and has a sash to tie in the back. It is finished with a deep 3" hem.
