Heirloom 1940s Unworn Madeira White Dress with Pink Reverse Scalloped Hem and Collar
Heirloom Baby Clothes: Heirloom Baby Dresses
This lovely white and pink cotton dress was hand made in Madeira, Portugal, in the 1940s. A rare example of an unworn Madeira dress, it was removed from its original packaging and washed and pressed so that it arrives fresh and ready for baby to wear. It features delicate embroidery and openwork on the bodice, with a scalloped embroidered pink collar and turned back cuffs on the short puffed sleeves. The dress closes in the back with small shell buttons and is finished with a beautiful reverse scalloped hem topped by delicate pink embroidery.
An example of Madeira's finest craftsmanship, this would be a stunning heirloom portrait dress, christening dress, or special occasion dress for your baby girl!
